A sensor on the northern side of the house measures the outdoor temperature. By means of the outdoor temperature the weather compensator determines how warm the water in the heating system needs to be in order to ensure the requested room temperature inside the house. You thereby obtain the required temperature with an energy consumption at a minimum - around the clock.
The weather compensator also gives you the opportunity of an extra energy saving when you set it to automatically lower the temperature in periods where you don't use the house - e.g. during working hours and holiday periods. This ensures a comfortable temperature when you are at home and extra low energy consumption when you are out.
