The Danish ’Golden-4’ win gold at the Beijing Olympics

Since 2002 Danfoss has been the proud sponsor of the Danish Lightweight Men’s Four.
And yesterday the four rowers won the most prestigious of all races – the A-final at the Olympic Games. |

In a boat named ‘Bitten Clausen’ they out-rowed all others. True to their tactics through out the games they began the race in an astonishing pace and never let go of the front. The Golden-4 completed the 2000 metres in 5:47.76 almost two seconds faster than number two – the boat from Poland. The nick name ‘The Golden-4’ has clung to the boat and crew since the first world record in 1994 and since then it medal tally includes gold at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, bronze in Sydney in 2000, gold in Athens 2004 and now gold in Beijing. |
